What is Skin Needling?
Skin needling, also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment designed to revitalise the skin. The process involves using fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface, which in turn stimulates the body’s natural healing response. This leads to increased production of collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep your skin firm and youthful. Over time, this results in smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin.
How Skin Needling Works
During the treatment, a small device with fine needles is gently moved across your skin, creating thousands of tiny punctures. While these micro-injuries may sound intimidating, they are actually what triggers your skin to repair itself. This natural healing response boosts collagen and elastin production, helping to improve the overall texture and firmness of your skin.
The Procedure
Your skin needling journey starts with a consultation, where your skincare specialist will assess your skin type and concerns to create a tailored treatment plan.
Before starting, your skin will be cleansed and your skin concerns evaluated. The microneedling device will then be moved across your skin, creating the controlled micro-trauma. The depth of the needles can be adjusted based on your specific skin concerns to target different layers of skin.
Afterward, a calming and hydrating sheet mask is applied to soothe your skin, reduce redness and promote healing.
Benefits of Skin Needling
Improves Skin Texture: One of the key benefits of skin needling is its ability to smooth out fine lines, wrinkles, and rough patches, giving you a more even complexion.
Reduces Scarring: If you have acne scars or other types of scarring, skin needling helps regenerate skin cells and reduce the visibility of imperfections over time.
Enhances Product Absorption: The tiny channels created during the procedure allow for deeper absorption of your skincare products, meaning you get better results from your daily routine.
Stimulates Collagen Production: By activating your skin’s natural healing process, microneedling increases collagen and elastin production, which improves elasticity and firmness.
Minimal Downtime: One of the biggest advantages of skin needling is that it’s minimally invasive, meaning most people only experience mild redness or swelling for a few days post-treatment—similar to a light sunburn.

Whether you’re concerned with fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, or uneven skin tone, skin needling can help rejuvenate your skin.
